Silly likes his mackerel in a can

Silly decided he was hungry just a while ago and decided he was going to do something about it. We had just returned from the store and the bags were on the floor. I didn't have the camera out in time to capture him carrying the bag to his bed. He then selected a can of mackerel and started to enjoy it. I thought he was just licking the can, but as I prepared the camera, he had punctured the can and was enjoying mackerel juice. How clever is that.
It has been a good week for Silly. The cats have all accepted the fact he is not going to eat them and we are again enjoying their company.
Doug (resident grey) has excavated an area outside the back door. It is rather cave like and Silly pretends it is a starting gate. He backs in the hole and shoots out when I open the door for them to come in.
He eats well in a crate, goes in the crate for the daytime with a treat, sleeps through the night beside our bed and has had no accidents in the house. He lets us know when he wants to go out to do the duty or just tour the back yard.
He is extremely curious about everything so we keep a very close eye on him when we are all home.
He did ask me again yesterday about a forever home. I told him I heard families were asking about him and it would not be long. If you want to know more about Silly, feel free to email me at cathymorris345@comcast.net and I will be glad to talk to you about him. He is one of a kind.

Things I have learned in 10 days and what is a forever home

Hi, I'm silly. Oh yes, that is my name too, Silly. My whole name is WhyTellSilly. Well, here's why. I do better when told than when I have to guess.
I guessed it was okay to steal Aunt Lou's treats from the birthday party. Mom told me it was not okay when she found parts of the treat bag inside my muzzle when she got up.
I guessed it was okay to bother the cats when they ran until mom used the squirt bottle on me. She had been telling me too, but I really like running as you should know from all my grade A races. I now know the difference between cats and that funny furry thing at the track.
I guessed it was okay to put my feet on the counter, back to the squirt bottle thing, it's now okay.
I guessed it was okay to pull on the leash when mom is holding it. She still has not convinced me that is not the thing to do. There are so many wonderful things out there to explore. She says I will learn, just give me more time. I will learn, I just don't know when.
Keep checking on me, I will let you know when I learn more things. I really want to learn about this thing they call a forever home.

Silly at our first M&G

Yesterday Silly went to his first meet and greet with his foster family. He was pretty unimpressed. He preferred to look the other way when everyone was around. He had a rough week getting used the many things in the Morris household this week. Plus the last time he went to meet and greet he changed families and I think he was a little afraid that would happen again.

Last week he learned foster mom has some strict rules when it comes to chasing cats. It is not allowed and if she is quick enough chasing or even whining at a cat results in water in the face. He really does not like that. He is learning quickly though, right now he is at my feet with a cat just 5 feet from him and he hasn't even really looked at him. GOOD BOY Silly,.

He doesn't like going in the crate, but when he gets in he is fine. I did hear him whining in the crate when I was in the front yard working but otherwise he is quiet when I go to work and come home.

He has earned no out the the crate when no one is up points. Last night he was muzzled, got out of the bedroom and devoured all of Aunt Lou's birthday party treats. That was with the muzzle on, what could he do without it?????????!!!!!!!!!!
